A Pleasant Surprise by Robin Zinaman

A new family recently moved into an older home in my neighborhood. We became fast friends and I learned of some of the troubles associated with owning an older building. The home was very nice, though many of the systems throughout the house were dated.

After living there for a short time, Carol – one of the homeowners – mentioned that she was having a few problems. The heating system was lacking and the family regularly ran out of hot water during showers. After sharing her dilemma, she asked if I could recommend anyone who could fix the problems.

Having been a Nebrasky Plumbing, Heating & Cooling customer for years, I knew it was the perfect company for the job. Carol called Nebrasky and scheduled a home energy assessment, which focuses on making each building as efficient as possible. Carol’s assessment was free, as it is for most homeowners, and she was provided with an audit outlining ways to upgrade her home systems. A Nebrasky technician helped Carol decide which upgrades would benefit her the most and even helped her acquire a low interest loan and rebates for her purchases!

Carol chose to install a new Bradford White hot water heater, a Peerless boiler, Weil-McLain furnace and a Honeywell programmable thermostat. She raved about the service, telling me how professional and courteous the technicians were. They even wore cool blue booties to make sure the flooring wasn’t harmed and no dirt came in. Everything was seamless for Carol, who mentioned “They left my basement cleaner than they found it!”

A few days after the work was done I received a handwritten note from Nebrasky thanking me for my recommendation and a gift card for $25 as part of the company’s referral program. It was an excellent experience for Carol and myself, and I was pleasantly surprised by Paul Nebrasky’s appreciation. Keep up the fantastic work!
