Nebrasky’s Toilet Bowl Races for Habitat for Humanity

What a fun-filled Saturday at the Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County ReStore! We are thrilled to announce that Nebrasky helped raise over $500 for Habitat for Humanity with our toilet bowl races – enough to help purchase five windows for a future Habitat home! There were also two cars and a boat donated that will help further support Habitat for Humanity’s mission.

To understand why this event is so important, here’s a little bit of information about ReStore… The Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County ReStore in Wappingers Falls contains donated household items, like furniture, home goods, houseware, etc. When those items are sold, the proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity. It’s a really awesome program, so be sure to check it out if you’re in the area!

The toilet bowl racing was epic, with highlights including the thrilling IHeartRadio team race, the competitive ReStore vs. Habitat team race, and the hilarious Mascot race featuring our very own Paul Nebrasky, suited up in costume!

This day wouldn’t have been possible without the other incredible co-sponsors: I Heart Radio, and Foam & Wash Car Wash. We also want to give a huge round of applause to the fantastic vendors who added so much to the event: Uncle Mike from WRWD, Oxymoron Coffee, Rotary Club of Wappingers Falls, EcoMouse Pest Control, Dutchess Waste Warriors, Oxford House, TrustCo Bank, and Buddy Hoppers.

Last but certainly not least, THANK YOU to our volunteers who helped everything run smoothly, including members of the Nebrasky crew: Paul Nebrasky, Jesse Blitz, Eddie Sayer, Harrison Nehrbass, and Connor Mullen! And of course, thank you to our awesome non-Nebrasky volunteers who still came out to show support: Marcos Cordova, Frenn Demato, and Rachel Nehrbass!
