Another Epic Showdown: Nebrasky Toilet Bowl Races Return to ReStore

Restore Races Blog Post (1)

Rain couldn’t slow us down on Saturday, April 25, 2026, as the Nebrasky team returned to the Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County ReStore for our annual Toilet Bowl Races!

This year’s event helped raise $457 for Habitat for Humanity, with proceeds supporting the organization’s mission of building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter in our community.

Why the ReStore Matters

Located in Wappingers Falls, the Habitat for Humanity of Dutchess County ReStore is filled with donated furniture, home goods, appliances, building materials, and more.  Every purchase made at the ReStore helps fund Habitat’s work creating affordable housing opportunities for local families.

That’s why this event is so important to us. It’s a chance to have some fun, bring the community together, and support an organization making a real difference throughout the Hudson Valley.

Race Day Highlights

Despite the wet weather, racers still flew down the track on rolling porcelain while spectators gathered to cheer them on. The competition brought plenty of laughs, loud cheering, and just enough friendly rivalry to keep things interesting throughout the day.

One of the biggest highlights was the Vendors Race, where local partners battled for bragging rights in front of an energized crowd. The Habitat Team Race also delivered plenty of excitement, as the dedicated team members behind Habitat’s mission proved they can be just as competitive off the job site.

A Community Effort

Events like this only happen because of the incredible support from local businesses, volunteers, vendors, and community members willing to come out — rain and all — for a great cause.

A huge thank-you goes out to our co-sponsors, everyone who participated in the races, and especially the Nebrasky crew volunteers who kept the event rolling all day long.

We are already looking forward to the next race!
